One frustrated user noted, “Trying to checkout and every time I select my address it times out and I get an error.” Another reported receiving a message stating, “Your account is currently unavailable due to a site issue. We expect this to be resolved shortly. Please try again in a few minutes.”
As of 2 p.m., approximately 2,000 people were struggling with the site, and the peak reports of outages reached around 18,000. Despite the growing number of complaints, Amazon has not yet publicly addressed the issue.
This outage follows closely on the heels of similar disruptions experienced by thousands of Facebook users just two days prior, raising concerns about the stability of major online platforms.
