For every 3-point field goal made by the St. John’s men’s basketball team, Apple Bank donated $10 to City Harvest. This initiative resulted in a total donation of $2,500, as the team made 219 3-pointers during the season.
City Harvest, which has rescued more than one billion pounds of food since its founding in 1982, is set to rescue over 86 million pounds of food this year alone. The partnership with Apple Bank is seen as a crucial support for their mission.
