June 19th Hearing To Review Sewer Repair Job

A public hearing is to be conducted by the village of South Rockwood on June 19th on a sanitary sewer project expected to cost approximately $1.4 million.

Trenchless technology is to be used to line the sewers with a cured-in-place pipe lining. Two sanitary pump stations are to be replaced. The goal is to reduce groundwater and storm water infiltration while extending the sewer system’s life.

Hennessey Engineers, Southgate, is the project engineer.

The hearing will start at 7 pm as part of the village council meeting. It will be held at the village offices at 5676 Carleton-Rockwood Road.
