Culver’s Considered By Greenville Planners

At its meeting last week the Greenville Planning Commission set June 8th as a date for a public hearing on a site plan for a Culver’s Restaurant. It’s to rise at 1825 West Washington, between a Taco Bell Restaurant and an Advanced Auto Parts Store.

Proposed is a 4,311 square foot restaurant building with a drive-through area. One complication to the proposal is a Planned Unit Development for a retail project established in 2005 appears to conflict with the Culver’s proposal. It will need to be modified.

Another concern is the drive-through exits into the site’s existing service drive to the north, which immediately exits onto Youngman Road to the west. Planning commissioners are worried not enough room is to yrun completely from the drive-through exit then wait to make a left-hand turn onto Youngman.

Kyle Wilson, an engineer with Nederveld Inc., Grand Rapids, representing the project said he will be addressing this situation with his client.
