Another Hotel Slated For Benton’s ‘Cinema Way’

In Benton Township a section of Nickerson Court turns into Cinema Way and this week there was a report it may be getting its fourth hotel.

With three recently constructed or begun, it’s already been dubbed the area’s “hotel corridor.” The developer of two of the three current hotels has disclosed intentions to build a fourth. It’s to rise next to his Staybridge Hotel which is still being built.

As presently envisioned by developer Sam Sandia the new hotel is to be a Courtyard By Marriott. It’s to be four stories in height with a total of 60,000 square feet. It’s to have 100 rooms, have a bar and bistro-style restaurant, and also contain a Starbucks coffee bar.

When it opens the four story high Staybridge Hotel will offer 88 rooms. The first hotel in the stretch developed by Sandia is a four story high Springhill Suites by Marriott which opened last December with 94 rooms.

The site plans for the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel have not yet been filed with the Benton Township Planning Commission.
