Visitors Bureau To Build New Bay City Office

This week the Bay City Commission approved the sale of a narrow sliver of property at 499 North Water Street to the Great Lakes Bay Regional Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) for a proposed regional visitors’ center.

Plans are being developed for the construction of a 4,400 square foot structure. A preliminary design envisions the building having a tower with an observation deck but the size and cost of it have not yet been disclosed.

The cost of the 4,400 square feet portion has been estimated at approximately $1 million. The CVB currently is located in the Doubletree Hotel in downtown Bay City.
